Jenn & Lee’s breathtaking Sunshine Coast wedding in Gibsons, BC. It is always so nice when a couple is so in love and so completely tuned into each other that they make my job easy. This wedding was so completely perfect in every way!
These two had all the details arranged, from tea sachets as wedding favours to local craft beer from Hoyne Brewery. (A favourite of so many people all over Vancouver Island and the rest of BC.) And the perfectly-timed breaks in the weather while we were out roaming the forest to take their portraits were spot on.

I had a good visit by phone to find out what kind of vibe they may like for their portraits and their response was forest. They are both outdoorsy people and comfortable doing anything! I love it when the bride says she doesn’t mind if the dress gets a little bit wet or her dress got a little bit dirty at the beach or in the forest. They were truly so in love and so magical together. I felt as though I were a camera-carrying squirrel in a tree just watching them do their thing and capturing easy and loving moments between them.
Chaster House – Gibsons
Chaster House in Gibsons is a special little venue run by the SCRD. You rent the full house plus the grounds. Its really a charming spot! Secluded off from the general public, by way of natural beach and bushes, its the perfect spot in Gibsons for a small intimate wedding.
Sometimes I pinch myself when I get so lucky with couples that truly make the day fly by and make my work flow so easily. What an amazing day, with typical Sunshine Coast weather, pockets of perfect light wherever we went. Plus a love big enough to fill up the forest around us. Mellissa at Sunshine Coast Weddings did an amazing job with organizing and setting up this wedding!
