Spontaneity was in Dan and Jaymee’s favour for their Sunshine Coast elopement! Not only did they book me within 24 hours of saying I do, but their casual, paper signing nuptials turned into a blue-skied ceremony. The couple was surrounded by close family, a wedding cake, champagne and floral arrangements right from the garden!

Dan and Jaymee started their love story 3½ years ago (when they swiped right on Bumble) and their relationship has been an adventure ever since.

THEY LOVE TO TRAVEL!

They love to travel and spend time in the great outdoors. The newlyweds both work remotely, so have had the opportunity to travel the globe! England, Mexico, Vietnam, Philippines and all over the USA, to name a few. Italy is also on the list and is one of the most memorable trips as they got engaged in Florence in May of 2019! Both Dan and Jaymee have travelled to dozens of other countries before meeting each other. They definitely plan to add more pins to the map once it is safe to do so.

Dan’s parents retired on the Sunshine Coast six years ago. Their backyard was chosen for the simple ceremony, which ended up being the perfect backdrop. And, perfect it was! The amount of smiles and love during their elopement was heartening. There is something so special about having only your parents and selves during such an intimate exchange. From the light sparkling off the ocean, to the love in everyone’s eyes, this was one truly special day.

Since this was a spontaneous wedding, I didn’t have a lot of time to get to know this couple before the big day. But upon heading to Sargeant Bay for photos they casually mentioned to me they live in Squamish and rock climbing is their passion! So, I immediately asked Jaymee if she could climb in her dress? She of course said no problem and climbed that stump like it was a walk in the park! I think it’s one of their favorite photos!
