Fauve Braden hoodoos kamloops,
Have you ever considered having your engagement photos in Kamloops? There is so much natural beauty just a few minutes from town in any direction! When I book an engagement session, we chat by phone call back and forth,  we talk about what kind of location they love!  Fauve and Braden suggested the Hoodoos.   As you may know, Kamloops is simply beautiful. One of my favourite places ever to shoot couples for engagement photos!

Kamloops is one of my favourite places to photograph!

Kamloops has lakes with mountain views, valleys, sagebrush, rolling hills and the Hoodoos. Did I already say it is freaking incredible? It is also designated as desert! It has very little precipitation with a very dry climate due to the coastal mountain range collecting all the rain fall, and then the next land mass which is Kamloops gets very little. There are rattle snakes, grassy rolling hills, mountain sheep and a western feel to the area.

Fauve and Braden met in Kamloops when they were just 17 years old, both just out of high school. They had a mutual friend (who will be the Maid of Honour at their wedding) that introduced them at a soccer game in Kamloops. If you don’t know, Kamloops is the tournament capital of BC! They both started to just hang out together after meeting along with mutual friends and their official first date was Canada Day 2013.

Fauve and Braden also asked if they could bring their dog Fiore for their engagement photos in Kamloops!   Fiore was originally Fauve’s dog, but after spending an hour with both these two, you can see that she clearly loves both her humans equally, and they are her family. She is so sweet, a senior now. I just adored the black on her tongue! She is part Chow, so that explains some of that! So cute right! Fauve and Braden also rescued another puppers, (these people are saints!) but the pup was a bit young to have out for photos yet, you know, jumping on clean clothes and not paying attention in a new location!

Want to know what  my thoughts on Bringing your pup to a shoot?

Being a self professed animal lover, I always do a little happy dance  when my couples ask if its ok to bring their dog! (or horse or cat or??!!)  That’s a big Hell YAH from me! Our woofers are family! Also, how many of us have professional  photos with our fur babies? Am I right? We all have lots of snap shots, but usually no professional photos! Yes, I will always say yes, to bringing your dog to photo sessions!

Contact me here if you would like to book a session!

They absolutely adore travelling, but are calling Kamloops home! Of course, since they live there and call Aberdeen home, they chose to have their Kamloops engagement photos done near the Hoodoos.  Some places they have gone are Asia, Australia, Europe and South America. We actually had planned on doing their engagement session in early 2020, but Covid seems to have messed with many couple’s special plans! I just love proposal stories and Braden planned something special when he asked Fauve to be his wife. They were visiting her aunt, uncle and cousin in Peru and he proposed on at the summit of Machu Piccu New Year’s Eve 2019! How special is that!  Let me help you do a little planning for a proposal or capture your engagement photos!  Send me a message and lets get started!
