Oh, this Valhalla House wedding has the best love story! Nancy had been married once before and found love a second time! She met Doug through mutual friends and Doug was an elusive batchelor. And his second love is definitely his ’81 Corvette. When they asked if I could incorporate a few photos of the Vette into their wedding photos, it was a big hell yes from me! In fact, it’s one of my most favorite wedding photos ever! Plus, I have always thought the Corvette is the ultimate muscle car!

I just love when couples chose a first look! This is where the bride and groom have time before the wedding to see each other, all dressed up before they head down the aisle to marry. I find its more intimate, and about just the two of them. The reactions are so genuine, and fun to look back at for years to come! Often we do most of the portraits at that time. Nancy and Doug chose to get ready at a quaint Air BnB very close to the Valhalla House Wedding venue in Halfmoon Bay!

The Valhalla House wedding ceremony was a short distance from their first look location. And it is simply gorgeous. It has a Scandinavian flare throughout with little signs of Denmark and vikings here and there. The building itself is West Coast architecture with plenty of room to hold up to 40 people seated for meals and dancing. The little mermaid even sits on a rock near the pond and fountain! The Valhalla House is a family owned venue. If you have gotten this far in reading this blog, you are welcome to contact me here, and get any information on it for your small elopement.
